Prepare your terms

Keep the questions for your shop together before you agree.

Compare entered quotes

Use written figures from your shop. Enter 0 for no interest or fees. Missing charges stay unknown.

Totals cover only the amounts you enter. Compare the loan duration, due dates, renewal charges and other terms separately. This calculation does not recommend a quote, verify charges or create a loan. Nothing is saved or sent.

Ask before agreeing

  • What amount, currency and item are involved?
  • What charges, dates and redemption terms apply?
  • Who holds the item, and what happens if plans change?
  • Which written terms and local requirements apply?

This preparation is not a contract, official pawn ticket or legal determination. Contract issuance and signing are not connected here.

Prepare a private draft

How a pawn runs

A common pawn lifecycle. Local law and your written ticket decide every detail:

  • Pledge: The shop writes a ticket naming the amount, charges, dates and item, and holds the item.
  • Maturity Date: Borrower may redeem collateral by paying principal plus accrued charges, or renew/extend by paying interest charges.
  • Grace period: Where local law or the ticket sets one, you can still redeem before any forfeiture.
  • Redemption or forfeiture: Pay what the ticket states to take the item home; otherwise it passes to the shop as the ticket and law allow.

Always verify the written pawn ticket issued by the merchant before leaving your collateral.

Pawn term timeline

An illustration, not a schedule. Your ticket sets the real dates.

Stage I

Collateral Intake

The shop records the item, writes the ticket and holds the piece.

Stage II

Active Term

You may redeem on the terms the ticket states.

Stage III

Grace Period

Where law or the ticket gives one, a last window to redeem.

Stage IV

Redemption or Floor

Redeemed, the piece goes home. Unredeemed, it passes as the ticket allows.

The pawn desk below is a local simulation starting today. Its dates are not the dates of an existing loan. Simulated acceptance, redemption and forfeiture do not change any real agreement; nothing is sent and no money moves.
